A frightening thought

Postby Phishstrangler75 » Mon Dec 10, 2012 11:24 pm

The noobs of today are the realm leaders of tomorrow.
I am the realm leader for Wrythyk in La Grande and I want to do things right, so please pm me some tips, cautions, insults, or critiques. Thank you.

If you think that's a frightening thought, you got the wrong idea. The noobs don't become realm leaders, the newbs do, and that's a very big distinction.

NOOBS: Rely on cheap tactics to barely finish second-to-last on the team, and often blame others for their mistakes. Noobs have no ambition to get better at the game they fail at, and are happy just * off the rest of us.

NEWBS: Honest, humble, polite players who strive to better themselves by playing as a team and seeking the advice of others. Newbs are new to the game, so they don't know, and, when confronted after using noob tactics, apologize for their behavior and immediately cease all noob activity.

Basically expect any newb to delve into noob-ism after a couple of months; without strict supervision by vets this can turn into outright cheater/douche behaivor and will not be tolerated at events and intrarealm gatherings.
This also extends into online activity to some extent.

This. Be good to your newbies that they grow and flourish within the game. I find giving gold stars or banana stickers to cool newbies helps reinforce it at events if they go out of their way. You rock."

Yay! I will try my hardest to someday get banana stickers. ;)
And with all the time I spend pestering Par and Remy, hopefully I'll end up turning out okay.

Wait, people willingly spend time with Remy? I thought it was all out of pity.
