Hi! I've been looking into Belegarth for a while and after watching the group closest to me (Ered Duath) I've finally decided to join. I've got the rules down, I have my outfit, but I have one quick question. I want to do sword and board, but I'm not sure if I could use a greatsword with it. I never saw any rules against it but I'm not entirely sure. I know it probably won't be the most effective thing ever, but it looks fun and it would be a good backup if my shield breaks. My shield isn't too large.
In short: Can I use a red sword and a shield at the same time?

Thanks a lot for the quick reply! I have a punch shield so it probably won't be too cumbersome. I'm excited to get started.

You will find that a lot of folks refer to that style, of greatsword and punch shield, as "Punch & Pie." It's a total blast to do, and the reach it gives you can catch people by surprise.
