Hey Everyone!

I have never done Belegarth, but it looks like its just what I need. I tried NERO larp and it was just ..... well if you know what it is you understand.
I am a US Army 101st Airborne Infantry Veteran and know many things on combat and have always loved fighting like the good old medieval days.

I tend to stick to the axe as I have always loved them but I have used sword and board as well although most of my self taught fighting skills were with wood or metal weapons, so i will have to get used to the light foam.

I live near Dubuque Iowa and hope to find a group near me to learn and train and FIGHT.

Hey man, welcome to the boards. Below is the information for the realm nearest to you. There are also a couple more established realms in Davenport, IA, and Rockford, IL (both about an hour away from you). You can find more information on those and other realms by checking out the Belegarth Realm Map. You'll find that there are a lot of resources available for new fighters, on the boards and elsewhere on the net, which will have answers to a lot of questions you may have. If you haven't already, check out the Geddon (the Belegarth wiki), and lurk around the boards a bit.

In short, welcome aboard. If you have any questions, please feel free to post in the appropriate board or, better yet, make contact with a nearby realm. Nothing beats some genuine facetime!

Other realms within a similar circle are Beornve (Quad Cities) and Rhun (Madison, WI). Both are great realms with good turnouts for practices.
