I've found the realm of Malkier in London, a long drive for me...with no car to do so....also got some freinds interested in nearby (to Hamilton) Brantford Ontario who are looking to get started. Any nearby people willing to lend a hand? I've got 11 years in Amtgard and 5 years SCA training. I've founded amtgard groups before but that was when I went to highschool and knew a lot of interested parties. I've read and re-read the bow and *think* Ive got 5 weapons and 2 shields ready to use.

So basically, I need some help from neighboring groups to do a demo at some point so I can get my crew up to speed to see if they like it (they read the bow and love the idea of it and also have other foam fighting experience themselves)

So other than Malkier, what realms exist around Hamilton and Brantford?

The realm map is up to date, so it looks like that really is the nearest realm to you. You might want to try contacting the Malkier group and see if they would be willing to day trip to come fight with you guys, or perhaps meet in the middle. As well, contact the groups in Alberta. You never know if any of their members moved to your area, and would be willing to help get a realm going.

Best advice I've got. If you decide to start a group, be sure to read the New Realm post. It'll give you a good foundation to work with.

Thank you and I basically did just that....but every time I checked the link the the realm map it was an error page. I'm currently gathering interest in Brantford area then the head of Malkier has said if we can get a date and time we can get together and they will road trip it down to us. Thank you for your help.

Now the trick is getting all interested parties in the same spot at the same time.

Hi I am new to the hole Belegarth society. I am in Brantford but also have friends in Hamilton that want to join a group in either city. Has a realm been started in Hamilton or Brantford? If so when and where do you meet?

There aren't realms in those locations that I'm aware of.
