Belegarth

Hey Belarius, welcome to the Belegarth boards. I don't know of any Belegarth groups in Ireland, but anyone is welcome to create a new realm, and the EU has tons of other types of medieval inspired LARPs and battle games if diving into Belegarth ends up not working for you.

As far as roles go, Belegarth isn't a hardline LARP. There are no classes or races that are officially recognized or empowered by the Book of War, the Belegarth rule book. The only advantages you'll get on the field are the ones you bring, so everyone has an equal chance to be as good as they want to be. That being said, we encourage everyone interested in the roleplay aspect of the sport to do it. Most people will take fighting names, and some will end it at that. Others create entire characters on which they base their garb and fighting style. Others go for full immersion, actively roleplaying while on and off the field when at events.

Your level or involvement or commitment to any aspect of the sport is entirely up to you.
