Magic hand switch

So I just read that Belegarth allows the magic hand switch and I was wondering if that is true. I make the guys in my realm drop the weapon and pick it up with there good hand... If this is not the way everyone else does it I really don't want to hinder my guys. So what is everyone's opinions and the magic hand switch?

It's one of those things that's not written down anywhere, or even might be against the rules, but is never enforced, ever, in the entire time I've been fighting. I've never seen a single person get scolded for the magic hand switch.

If I was one on one fighting- i'd let the other person pick up the saword. I am not sure how I really feel on this one- I don't care much either way- I'd respect people that drop the weapon more- BUT won't realy hold anything against anyone that 'magic switched'...

I thought we had passed a rule allowing this, but I guess I must just be crazy.

It's common practice in the East, at least. I've never seen anyone get salty about it. I don't really do it, and I really don't think it's that big of a deal, to be honest.

Everyone should just learn how to do Bhakdar's sweet move: Toss your sword up in the air, shrug your shield off, then catch the sword out of the air with your off hand. If you can pull that off and kill someone, you'd get hellah badass points.

That's not what he does though. He first passes the sword to his shield hand, THEN he tosses it up, ditches the shield and catches it.

I always thought he'd get more BA points by just carrying a weapon with his shield, dropping his right handed weapon then doing the trick above.

Oh, yeah, now that you mention it, that does sound right. Still badass though.

It was discussed at WC at Arm... 1, I think. WC decided that no one cared, but didn't put anything in the rules about it.
