WANTED: Dedicated Heralds for Event

Postby Tiberius Claudius » Fri Jan 15, 2010 11:36 pm

I apologize if this isn't the right part of the boards to post this topic, but it is in regards to Heralding.

Taken from the War of Reckoning event advertisement:

Isk wrote:The event fee covers the site and feast, so it will be $15, regardless of whether you fight, stay one night or stay in town. However, an experienced herald who volunteers to herald the whole event will get in free (Seriously, PM me that you'll come and herald and we'll throw in a six-pack of your choice).

If anyone is in the area and hasn't checked out the thread, please take a look and PM Isk if you're interested.

Again, I apologize if this particular thread goes against the intentions of the Moderator.

I had Baccus PM him already. We'll be down there friday and I'm more than happy to herald... provided you have both beer for me and people who want hands-on heralding experience to "shadow".

Name your brand and I'll get you the good stuff from Nevada, not the watered down Utah swill.

Also, I for certain will shadow for heralding experience and I'll make sure to rotate others through as well.

We appreciate your help!

Guinness makes me happy. :P

And I'm glad you are willing to learn. Any one else that does is more than welcome to.

I appreciate your enthusiasm for getting this out there Defendus. My goal in posting that was actually just to get a few guys like Rev and Griff that have solid experience and seem to enjoy heralding so our guys could learn, but would also be able to participate on the field. Rev's Guinness is already on the budget and I was in fact planning to ask if you'd be the one to pick it up. ;)

The tourneys are a time we will particularly appreciate heralding support so we can have at least two heralds per match and run two (or more) matches simultaneously. We might have to drop to single elimination if there are several teams and too few heralds.

I'm at your service, Isk. I was one of the heralds at Samhain.
