Here you go Aegis, looks like your shield on the left :) I remember fighting you quite a bit up in the trees, was a real blast.

My most fun time fighting, for sure (as it was 2 years before that, when I went up there with my bow and arrow and got a ton of kills through the trees, the rag 21 was a different scenario in a diff location)

However, I'm not a fan of castle battles. I don't like being crushed in like that, I like to be able to move around. Also, they seem to cause a lot of injuries when you pack that many people that close. At least it seems like there's a lot of holds called. Could be wrong, that's just the feeling I get for every one. I usually take a water/sparring break when the castle battles start.

thats my shield, its pretty unique.

I had this shot from the woods battle last year... this year ill likely arch in the woods, I remember Sirilay picking off some incredible shots thru the trees and I want to do that this year.

I really like this type of fight too, the mile long line fight...

I'll be there Thursday. Already looks like a great turnout - members of my unit were clocked in on Sunday evening in the 800's. Another person posted that a friend was over the 1000 mark on Sunday night. I'm guessing we should be pushing the #s of two years ago (1200) by Monday evening.

Have fun, die lots and then retell the stories with your foes getting bigger and your feats wilder with every telling.

Edited to update the #s.

Ichiro is posting pics on flikr - search for rag23 and you'll find them (and some wierd stuff that has nothing to do with foam fighting.

I got a bunch of great pictures - think they said we had close to 1500 total attendance this year...I will post the link here. I can't post on the dag boards, but I talked to Linwe and Athron, they will grab it from here and put them up on the other site. More to come... :axes:

Didn't like the rain at night, but I had a wicked good time. The sacrifice we finally got on Saturday was well worth the wait.

Rag was wonderful! Never seen such a long shieldline. The best part was taking it apart, one shield at a time. Plus, the militia Shield March! I was squashed between that and the opposing shieldline, I ended up crawling over mounds of people and weapons, it was amazing!!! Even gotta nasty shield punch to the face!

It was great fighting you, Sleeper. You looked like you were having a fun time, and doing a good job on the field as well.
