That's actually Bhakdar's old page, he's who I asked for permission to translate them over to geddon.org, from which you could also adapt them; the content is little different, but the text and images are separated which may be more or less convenient for you.

Ok, I think I will adapt the Wiki versions then. I also want to sue the tunic tutorial I think: http://www.angelfire.com/realm2/alcon/tunic.html Is that on the wiki? Do I still need to contact Bhakdar about this stuff if it is on the wiki ? Or someone else maybe? I couldn't find Bhakdar on the forum when I was going to send him a PM.

Everything on the wiki is under the GFDL, so you can use it freely, but derivative works are also under the GFDL, and technically any printout needs a printed copy of the GFDL. Eh. In any case, you don't need to ask for permission for anything there.

I don't think that Tunic guide ever did get ported over - Bhakdar's username is Mekoot Bhakdar. He might be hard to get ahold of sometimes, but I'd be shocked if he had any objections.

The New Realm Starter Kit has been downloaded over 60 times since it was initially put up for download late last year! And today I finished the 3rd update to the kit, which includes an offer for new realms from the Edhellen Armoury!

Yeah, I know it's a huge deal to get something like this off the ground, but it could benefit significantly from an editor.

Some parts are very hard to read.

Here's one of Amtgard from our park, there are others, but no e-books.

Yeah, I'm a bum and never check the national boards. I never completed the back half of the manual, which is unfortunate, because that's really what I set out to do. I felt I couldn't write that part first though, so I started at the beginning and never made it to the end. Maybe I'll finish it some day, but don't hold your breath.

I do have a .doc version on a backup cd somewhere so it can be edited. Looking through it, it could use some format editing and definately needs some updated pictures. I'll see if I can get to it sometime this month and post a newer version on the Tir Asleen site.

Cib, if you still need pictures, I have a lot of high quality, high resolution photos I'd be happy to donate. Let me know, PM works best.

Hey Cib, in going through the material I collected for my manual, I found a powerpoint presentation that Sir Kyrian (I think) put together on tactics and battle formations. It's really well done and I think it would be a nice addition. It's complete, all you need to do is add it in.

Which makes me think that perhaps a powerpoint presentation is not a bad format for some of this info. Especially anything that you might want to present to your realm as a whole. I'll have to think on that...

No I don't, I have no idea if it is hosted online. I have the actual document, I can email it to you. I believe it was authored by Sir Kyrian, but I am not certain. I recieved permission to use the information in it writing the manual, but you will want to get permission before you include it wholesale. It is pretty sweet, though.

The 'Safety Playability & Realism article was directly copied from Xipher's book. Idk where the marshaling one is from, or who wrote it. Both are tagged as part of the wikified starter kit. In any case, anything on the wiki is fair game.

At some point while I was working on the WNRSK, my vision of a world where both of our projects existed morphed into a vision of your New Realm Starter Kit being a media package, flyers, handouts, banners, etc. etc. etc. everything needed to advertise a group, while the Wikified Starter Kit was that essential manual for new members and new realms.

I know your project is yours, and that I cannot change your idea of what it is or what you do and do not include. I just think it would be neat to have your project include a polished PDF version of the WNRSK, and a whole bunch of material that isn't appropriate for a project like the WNRSK (like 14x20 posters).

I'm in my 'Reconstitution' time right now and it is as busy (more busy) than I thought it would be. Hopefully I'll have time to finish instructions for the WNRSK this month. That will probably be the last major revision that I make to the project, any further revisions should come from the community.

That would be sweet. I am all ears to your ideas! I am sure the WNRSK has been helpful to those that just want to reed a few of the articles, or can't download for whatever reason. :)

I think this next update is going to be quite... large. And condensing it (so it is not so overwhelming) may be in order next. But we will see what people think.

oops, just realized I linked the Marshaling one twice... I ment to link this one http://www.geddon.org/index.php/How-to_Weapon_Check

Anyone know who the author of these is?

Edit:
You uploaded the Marshaling one eeach. Do you knot know where you got it?

How-to Weapon Check has a longer history dating back to 2006. But most of the contributers are just ip numbers...

Some one said if I am to just turn these in to PDF's, I have to tack a fair use license or something on the end? Where do I get it?

Not sure if it was intended that way, but the offer from edhellen isn't on the wiki. The computer i'm on and will be on for a good amount of time can't download the starter kit, and i'm very interested in a new realm offer for Forodwaith, our new Waukesha, WI realm (shameless plug). Could someone post it here or pm me or something? Thanks.

The computer i'm on and will be on for a good amount of time can't download the starter kit, and i'm very interested in a new realm offer for Forodwaith, our new Waukesha, WI realm (shameless plug). Could someone post it here or pm me or something? Thanks.

I'm not sure what exactly comes in the kit offered in the NRSK, but Edhellen Armoury offers a discount for bulk orders.

Yeah, i know about that. I did some research on doing a mass order of sword kits, i'll probably just do that. Thanks for the answer.

First of all Cib, I would like to say thank you for putting this all together. Whenever I'm in need of a flyer design, your webpage is the first place I head for inspiration.

Second, I was wondering if you have any flyer graphics which are a high enough quality to size up to 11x14. (Also wondering if you know if there is a "Magpie Poster 1" floating around that is higher dpi, or can be sized up.)

Thanks again, your resource page is a great thing.

There are no staffs in Belegarth. Because of how they are constructed, they are really Pugil Sticks.

Thanks Rasheab! I am glad it is useful! :)

I always try my best to get the highest quality images I can, Magpie's are a bit lower quality because he lost the original files (when his old comp died)... He said if he ever found them he would let me know, but you could PM him and ask if he has found them.

11x14? Wow, big. Most everything was made for 8x11 but most of it is 300dpi and can be sized up a bit... I would think? From 8x11 to 11x14 would basically be from 300dpi to 200dpi correct? I also have PSD and Gimp Files for some of the posters if that would help.

Yeah, 11x14 is pretty big, but I have a line on a printer who is willing to do some work inexpensively for us. It's to bad about the Magpie flyer; I love that one and think it would look awsome at 11x14. Life goes on however. Thanks for all the info.

The Archer Flyer? I don't remember that one... The amount of posters and flyers I have would be unwieldy in the kit so I decided to just include the original 3 as a starting point.

The rest of the posters can be found here for the moment (Google is holding the ax over my site's head): http://albertabelegarth.googlepages.com/promotional Is the poster you are thinking of there?

If not could you give me any info you have on the Archer Flyer?

That's the one. I thought I had gotten it from the kit, must've been from elsewhere on the site then, I take it. Thanks!

Whoa, there tiger. That version won't print well. Go to Cib's site and download a print resolution version that is easily editable so you can stick your info on.
