Rag Rug Vest Tutorial

You might also note that I got some plain rugs this time. It makes quite difference in looks IMO.

I like this as a nomad/peasant look. Very textile looking and believable as a wool item. Do you ever connect the sides to make a vest, rather than tabard, or is the width of your average rug not large enough?

Depending on a fighter's RP/geographic style, I think the sold natural colors look best

I don't think I could get in to it using this pattern. Well... not with your average sized arm holes anyway. The limitation with this material is you cant cut it at all or it will all fall apart (It is like a really low thread count materiel), so everything must be made using equal size rectangles.

I do have a pattern for a coat you can see here: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=32166 that is closed in, but it is made in a more complicated fashion and is 2 separate peaces in the end.
