I am thirsty for delegation and discussion. Mindless sacrifices are not acceptable. They have to be though out and those lurking are not helping my paranoia.

Well my good gents, and equipment lacking female gents, might I then sway you to hang koom until his lord saves him. Time and time again he encourages us to do nothing and that his "god" will save us. His god being the inside of the beasts mouth. There will be no saving unless we act ourselves. I can not sit idly by waiting to be eaten any more. The mafia would love us to just sit around waiting while they pick us of one by one

Brothers and sisters, again, you point fingers and accuse out of fear. Search in your hearts and find the strength that the Lord can provide. We all fear what we don't know. Again I say we can not kill an innocent out of fear. If somehow you could provide truth to who is doing the killings the lord could smite down the killers. But again and for the last time We shall not kill Innocents do to our fear.
Now those that havn't spoke yet I would like to hear their accounts...Maybe they are searching inside for that strength I speak of.

Only fearmongers tout the coming of the end days, Koom. If we are divided by fear, it will be easier for the beasts to kill us all. Your flock will be eaten by the wolves if they walk around baaing in fear like sheep.

fear is exactly what we don't need. We need to find strength in our faith to find evidence before just killing anyone. Through strength of the Lord we could look back and see that. No'Vak through his fear and lack of faith jumped the gun and accused the first to even blink. While not innocent, I do not believe he is the murderer that we are looking for. Zwei and Oisin have both tried to piece together events to see what is going on. I do not thing someone would try to proves that they themselves were guilty. Azgarehta has isgnored the whole issue to "Go fishing" and out of the three times they have spoken have mentioned food. I am not sure if this is a sign of a hunger unquenshed or if it is just a sign of shock. Only the Lord knows.
Outhro has in our very presence called forth pagan dieties to aid him. I do not trust this man, for The one Lord is the only God. Torberto has cfrom no where claimed to... smell... wet dog comming from Horati. Is the ... smell accurate... or is it his upper lip.... I do not wish to get close enough to find out. The others have show patience in their words, some have become a bit less patient. Instead of fearing the Truth in the strength of the Lord, accept him in your hearts and again I ask to band together to find Truth, and not fear.

For those who did not see before Koom changed his words, he commented on the 21st of May being forthcoming, which many are saying will begin the end days, or some other problem.

Brothers and Sisters, do not loose the focus we are trying to present. Again I say, was Torberto accurate in his smell? Has he nothing else to say? Why has Horati not commented on this? Why is Azgarehta show a complete lack of care? I do not wish to point fingers, for only our Lord has a right to judge. I do wish to point out the nuances that have been comming up around certain people and events.

I begin more and more to suspect Koom's behaviour. While he has hinted at the potential guilt of others, he has only done so in a diffuse way, naming many possible suspects while still ultimately preaching inaction. Perhaps he is trying to have it both ways - to seem the voice of 'reason' and not wanting to seem responsible for others' deaths, while attempting to deflect attention away from himself and hopefully lead to the conviction of another, which he would be clean of.

Or perhaps all this suspicion is a result of ill-advised loquaciousness. Maybe we should worry more about those who have been relatively silent, or who's seemingly non-sequitur accusations would actually draw attention away from them (Torberto!, perhaps?).

Regardless, I agree with Cal; sitting around twiddling our thumbs is not going to save us. Only by making the tough decisions are we going to see ourselves through all of this. And since Koom has the greatest body of suspicion and evidence, such as we can collect at this time, against him...

You may sacrifice me as you may. I know where my soul will go when I am dead. And through my sacrifice I know that another innocent will live and their blood will not be on my hands. But know this.... if you do kill me through ignorance, you accomplish nothing. For I am not the killer that you seek. Take this as you will for I will now go and pray for our fallen brothers and will not speak on this again until either I die, or the sun rises again.

Vote: No Lynch

However, this does not mean I agree with Koom's heavy handed views on religion and righteousness, I merely have not decided if there is evidence or supposition enough to cast my vote against another villager. There is chance still that in the coming hours my mind may be swayed to vote for one of our number, but that time is yet to pass.

Really, Oisin? Look, bud. I just pass through town here every day on my way to the coal mines up yonder. Ya'll gather here in the town square and yell about this and that, its the most exciting thing ta happen in this town in a decade. I skipped out a few days ago and went fishin' and y'all were still here, so I offered some fish so you wouldn't tell the Foreman on me. I ain't laid up in bed with the flu like I's suppose ta be, ya know?

There's some durn nasty things runnin' 'round at night, and I'm just tryin' ta keep my head on straight. I don't much like the preacher man, but you sure know how ta get on a guy's bad side.

Ain't no thing for ya'll ta be goin' round murdererin' folk. Ya'll actin' like it's the 40's and I sit in the back o' the bus or somethin'. I thought this town was civilized.

The nonsense post, contributing nothing to help and wagon riding would definately make him seem mafia. I believe if AZ isnt mafia we should look more thouroughly into Koom and Az's accuser.

Guess Koom's preachin' a funeral then.

Day 1: Final Vote Count

7 Azgarehta (Oisin, Outhro, Horati, No'Vak, Zwei, Guts, Bevin)
1 Horati (Torberto!)
2 No Lynch (Koom, Azgarheta)

2 Not Voting (Giggles, Caleidah)

With 12 alive, it's 7 votes to lynch.

Results

Twilight begins to set over the village, and as the last vote is cast, a rope quickly appears around Azgarehta's throat as well as his hands. Without a word, the mob of villagers unceremoniously drags the man to gallows, kicking and screaming his innocence the whole way. As he is strung up to die, the seemingly innocent human begins to change in the fading light, revealing that the town's suspicions had been correct. In these final moments, the creature gives up the act and begins to howl that his brothers will avenge him, but the noose pulls tight before the monster inside is fully realized.

Azgarehta, Werewolf (Mafia), has been lynched.

It is now Night 2. All Night actions to me by 12:00 Noon Central Time on Friday, please.

Postby Galya » Wed May 18, 2011 9:20 pm

*, you guys are really on the ball today. A Night that only lasts 12 hours has gotta be a record or something. :) Anywho, here we go:

Night 2-

A new day dawns, and yet another of their poor neighbors has fallen prey to the beasts of the night. This body is in a few larger pieces then the previous victim, and so once they find his head, the Villagers immediately know whom they should mourn.

No'Vak, Villager, has been killed.

With 10 alive, it's 6 to lynch. Day 2 has now begun. Let the finger-pointing resume.

Vote: Koom

No'vak, our dear friend and mourned brother, was killed by the Wolves for his threats against Koom. Koom must go.

I had a dream of creature made out of a glass jug filled with a bright red drink and he will smash into homes and scream a cheer of enjoyment. Something like "Hooray success!"

Well that is unfortunate of No'Vak death, but why the random slaughtering? I am not paying enough attention, or No'Vak doesn't appear as a threat to the wolves in the first place.
More importantly- The dead dog did vote for Koom when there were only a few votes and not enough to lynch. It would have made more sense to vote when it was to Lynch if it was to sacrifice another wolf. For now I believe that Koom may not a werewolf.
Or the dead dog is an idiot that was ready to turn on his fellow pups to save his own tail.

It is possible that our town priest has been restricted in what he can do or say by some unknown force. I am not so suspicious of Koom as I am of those who have so quickly accused him.

Bevin, but the paranoia of the previous accusation is still active.

*sigh*
Brothers and sisters, today is indeed a sad day. Another of our own has been slain through the night. May God find mercy on his soul. Let us not be hasty in our accusations this morning. We need to find why No'Vak was a threat. Randomly pointing at our friends yelling "He did it" will get us no where. Horati, why do you accuse me so? Yesterday No'vak was not the only who blamed God and myself for our misfortunes. So why do you immediately say it was I? Why not answer the accusations put forth by Torbeto towards yourself twice? I do not wish to see more blood shed this day, but unfortunately I fear it will happen. I am glad it was a killer that was killed yesterday, even if I weep that his soul is forever damned. I do not know if Azgarehta was asking for forgiveness when he asked me to perform his funeral, but to the other two werewolves out there. Know that forgiveness is out there through the Lord. Step forward now and ask forgiveness and you shall receive it. To everyone else, let us be calm and patient. Let us morn our Brother No'Vak before we condemn another to a similar fate.

I'll avoid self congratulating . . . it's technically a tell. ;) That being said . . . /me sits and spins his revolver loaded with silver bullets. Well done yesterday everyone.

Outhro, I'd like to hear your logic that you decided to keep to yourself yesterday. IMO, that's not a pro-town play. Townies should always want the logic behind their thoughts to be public so that it's easier for the rest of the town to analyse their patterns to find anomalies, ie, mafia. Or, werewolves in this case.

I agree with Bevin - it seems reasonable that Koom, given his role as a preacher, might have certain principles that disallow him from actively seeking the deaths of others. It makes sense in retrospect, anyway. It's possible I'm just over-reading what is in fact a less sophisticated plot to gain our trust, but I don't know. Maybe someone should look into his background a little, see if he really did go to seminary, so to speak.

I also agree that it seems strange that Horati would be so quick to accuse Koom - and Outhro to make allowances for it - after Azgarehta had sought his death. Both Torberto!'s cryptic accusation of Horati (a certain odor, he said?) and Outhro's unexplained 'secret logic' for condemning Az deserve some attention.

Then again, I don't know how to reconcile their desire to kill someone who's (apparently) innocent with their early condemnation of Az - unless that was a ploy to gain some trust that went awry? I don't know. I read too much into things, which is why I'm so bad at all of this.

I suck at roleplaying a century I am not accustomed to.

My logic is mentioning dumb unrelated information without commenting on possible suspects from anybody mentioning anything before. Az choose to abstain with little reason, spoke of fishing, agrees with the bible thumping and then he choose to hate the preacher. There should be a some reason to vote for Koom. Being an annoying bible speaker is not enough of a reason yet. Taking an easy vote to kill someone off makes it easy for any wolf go with the flow of villagers killing each other off.

We just lynched the retarded wolf that tried to hide as a coal miner that went fishing.

Koom can be a two sided preacher that moonlights as something more, but his preaching hasn't stalled us in looking for wolves.

I'm very happy with the way yesterday went, but I doubt that the rest of our scum are going to play as ridiculously badly as Azg did.

Guts, Giggles, Caleidah, Torberto, haven't heard anything from y'all today . . . what are your thoughts?

Bit to Horati, a tiny bit to Koom, and a bit to another.
I never said that Koom is off the hook. It is still possible for Az to have sacrificed another wolf to save his own butt. At this time I could be wrong on all counts. Not enough information.

Torberto, why do you give off the presence of being a tool?
Do you have an important job or are you giving subliminal ideas to smother you in your sleep?

I do not understand why Mr. Torberto keeps saying I smell as a dog. I can only assume that being the town Dog Handler, I would smell as a dog. But, in all honesty, I want to give this town the best shot it can. I want to see all these people flourish and if I am able to keep them safe with the help of my dogs, and this rifle. I have a strong belief that Master Koom, is indeed one of our other werewolves.
