Fiberglass tubes

I was on Mcmaster Carr's website to get 1/2" fiberglass rounds. I saw that they have fiberglass tubes (http://www.mcmaster.com/#fiberglass-raw-materials/=gbfl54). Does anyone know if these would be similar to bandshoppe? If not similar, would it be better to get than the solid rounds?

On a side note, I decided to pick up some of the puzzle mat from walmart. I should shave down the textured surface right? Thank you for any replies!

Im probably wrong but I think thats almost like kitespar. Someone confirm?

And as for the puzzle mats....why sev, alls you had to do was ask.

Yes, most kitespar is graphite, but there is also fiberglass tube spar.

Really they don't build a bad sword, but you have to add too much weight to bring the weapon into bel standards. I like the fiberglass rods cause by the time I finish balancing them, im right at 12-14 ounces.

Most kitespar used in Belegarth is from GOodwinds.com or Edhellen and is fiberglass.
