Salt lake city realm?

Postby Avarice » Tue Jul 31, 2012 4:05 pm

Hey guys. I've been playing Belegarth for just over a year with just me and my friends but never really part of a realm. I will be moving out to Utah shortly to attend college there and was just attempting to get in contact with some of the guys who play out there.

The SLC realm is small like 5 or 6 if that. I think they practice on Monday but i' not 100% sure. there are 2 otther realms you could go to both about equal distance. Aquilonia is in riverdale/layton 2 practices a week one on tuesday * 6 pm at and the other at riverdale park 4360 Parker Drive Ogden, UT 84405 and the other is sat * 2pm at 440 Wasatch Drive, Layton, UT. and then there is ered duath in provo not too sure about the details on that one. hopefully you can find a good group to play with.

I am the beginning of the end...the shadow which blots out the sun...the bell which tolls your doom...The final shred of light fades, and with it, your pitiful mortal existence! Through the pain and fire my hatred burns! You have no hope!

Ered Duath practice is at 500 N 500 W in Provo, at 7pm on Thursdays.

We generally have anywhere between 20-50 people at our weekly practices, and you are more than welcome to come fight with us if you can make it down here.

The SLC realm fights at the north east end of Liberty Park on Mondays.

Still trying to grow the realm up a bit. There is a huge amtgard practice in the same location that fight on Saturdays. Let me know when you're going to be in town.

hey guys. new to utah area belegarth, though i played for a good while in a dag/belegarth realm in dallas. thinking of coming out the the provo practice thursday. i have a sword of my own, but currently that's it. what's the grab rules for practice in these parts? in texas it didn't really matter unless it was an event, so i'd wear a t-shirt and scrub pants usually.

Just tried to attend the SLC realm at Liberty Park. I arrived a little after 7 on Monday, and could not find anyone. Has the realm ceased meeting, was I too late, did the realm take the week off, or were you there and I searched the park much less thoroughly than I thought?

Also, does Ered Duath stop meeting at sometime during the year?

I do not think you missed them. I crisscrossed Liberty park thoroughly yesterday looking for those same people from about 5:30 to 8:00 PM with a focus on the area where the Amtgard group was at this last Saturday. This evening I also was unable to locate the players at the Layton park this evening. Is there an updated information source such as a standing website or mailing list that might be available for the Utah parks? A point of contact would also be great.

Many thanks

Many of us have not been coming out to fight lately. Our real lives have been interfering with being able to play. Also if it's cold and weathering all day there's very little chance that anyone will be out fighting. Also the tuesday fighting that you were looking for takes place at the Riverdale Park. If you read previously in the thread you will be able to find more information that may interest you about some other local groups. With winter coming upon us the amount of fighting is also going to diminish significantly. You are free to PM me here on the boards about fighting in SLC.

I'm way late to the party but:

Arklan - Our garb rules for new-comers are fairly lax, though we do enforce garb requirements for veterans. If you're new and have garb, AWESOME, if not, no big deal.

After your 6th practice with us, we do ask that people make an attempt at beginner garb (this can be a tabbard and sweat pants).

Veterans of our realm, on the other hand, need to wear minimum garb (as per the Book of War) to practice, or they can only fight single blue.

We only really do that if the guy has been coming for a long time and consistently shows up without garb.

Is there anyone that lives near Draper City Park, interested in sparring?
