Glaive stabby question

So, I'm building a new 8' glaive for WPO and I've got myself in a pickle. I've already DAP'd on the box and two closed-cell layers, but I don't know if I should glue the stabby portion (GG yoga mat layers) under the third layer of closed cell or it being on the outside completely. On one hand, if it was on the inside I could see it having more stability; on the other, a stabby on the outside would be easier to repair.

I'm sure this question has been asked before, so does anyone have advice?

I like them on the outside for repairs. I don't know what you use for stabbing foam, but it it is "wiggly" (maybe 0.5" Athletic mat or equivalent) then having it on the inner layer can reduce the integrity of the weapon. I like firmer layers to the core and softer ones to the outside for longevity.

3/4" of marine foam on the outside seems to be standard tech right now. Secure it with an X of good strapping tape, and that should give you a good, stable stab tip.
