Depends on what you mean by segmented?
Are you talking Brigadine (coat of plates) or Lorica Segmentata, that the Roman Legions used to wear?

that would be awesome Valas.
pretty much what I'm looking to do is modify my current cuirass from a shell style plate into that segmented style, with it being a solid piece I cant move my body in it to well

Years ago a Andorian fighter made a suit for like 15 bucks using Samson strong ties and paracord, actually looked pretty cool.

This is technically lamellar.
Segmented body armor usually refers to plate held together by internal straps...this is how I build my torso armor. I'll see if I've got a picture lying around I can post. If not, I'll take a few (including the internal strapping) and post them here.

After Beletaine I will post my armor build, which is segmented plate, with descriptions detailed photos and a basic walkthrough of how it was made. When I make said thread I will update you, would do it beforehand but i'm mere days away and need to prepare more.
