Since having begun playing with sword & board, I have been pestered by the ever present archer taking the head shot, ergo, I created this...

I thought it was a pretty good first attempt at armoring, any and all comments and critiques would be appreciated.

Perhaps a cuirass next...

Very nice. In my opinion, helms are the hardest things to do right. My only concern with yours is that you may have limited peripheral vision. That's a pretty big issue to fighting imo.

Nice work man. It looks all '70s style fantasy book cover.
I dig it.

Very nice brother, im loving the ear pieces on it. Ear protection that you can hear out of.

Great first helm. The only thing I would personally change is the strap's proximity to your throat.

Very nice work man, make sure to dip your head when you see an arrow flying at your face. They might still try and shoot you in the mouth but most of the time they wont bother with you since you have some headgear.

The blue foam on the inside is brilliant, I would never of thought about that.

Looks sick. Good on you for padding your helm like you actually expect it to protect you. Most people don't.

Try making your chin strap 1" wide. make it long enough to go over the tip of your chin. Cut a slit right down the middle of it, about 3" long, making the section that runs over your chin into 2 straps going AROUND your chin. Now reattach to the helmet. This should work like a chinstrap on a football helmet.
What I do.
