Something I've been working on for awhile (and would encourage others with the talent to do as well) is trying to get a band/electronic group together. Tribal Electronica or Battle Metal would be perfect revenues for Belegarth themed lyrics. Can you imagine a metal band screaming about the march of the Uruk-Hai?
So if anyone already has a band, is making a band, or has a close friend in a band, I suggest we use this untapped resource. I know I'm trying to... it's just hard to find good help these days.

It might be a bit old, or past due, but I will sign up for that.
I have been in a band but it fell apart because we couldn't find a good place to jam without people complaining. Personally, I play the piano and drums and I would be more than happy to contribute something to this.
I think it'd be a sick idea to get that going and I already have some ideas in my head.

even though it might spoil someones "medieval experience", I think having rock shows after dark at events would be supremely badass, provided theres somewhere to plug in ur **** into. Lutes and flutes are okayish, but I think bardic games would be much cooler with an actual band jamming. just a thought.

for me, whenever i fight i listen to sexual healing by marvin gaye, the extended version mind you, then mix in a little Eternal flame by the Bangles, say you, say me by lionel richie, open arms by journey, nothings going to stop us now, by starship, from a land down under by men at work, hit me baby one more time by britanny spears, sex over the phone by the villiage people, i mean, these songs get the juices flowing, what do yall listen to? ill post some more later

I listen to either rock/metal, or trance music before I fight. I think it'd be pretty sweet to get a band together, a Belegarth band. I am game if any of you guys/gals need someone to jam with.

I realize this is kind of an old thread, and I rock full on newb status, but I actually have 2 bands. One is a classic rock/jam coverband called Rebel Highway (
www.rebelhighwayband.com), the other is a alternative rock originals band called St. Vitus Dance (
www.stvitusdance.com). The cover band you'd have to pay, but the originals band usually works for beer and assorted fancy cashews. Let me know if I can be of assisitance for rocking in the Chicago area.

Well, I don't exactly know if heavy rock/metal would really be good promo music for belegarth. Since we are technically medieval combat I think more epic, orchestral, LoTR similar music would be. I mean if people would be willing to go a route similar to the music in Dac's latest WPO video or something more minstrel folky that would probably work better from a recruiting/promotional standpoint I'd think.
Not that there is anything wrong with the heavy stuff, lordy no. Just throwing down my 2-cents.

The classic rock songs are either mixed bad or the singer sucks.
