Ha!! Been there done that dumb *....just remmember not to injure minors on your fighting (just t because they are our friends,specially when you don t even have good standing with the park you fight at...anyway we treat descently all of our Bele visitors),their parents may sue you back you moron.

Akeron, if you think "Alex" was a punk in Puerto Rico, and you would like to inform the rest of Belegarth about his misdeeds, please state them in a clear, concise manner, using spell-check and grammar check. Or, if you are convinced he is a Bad Person, just sit back and wait for him to **** up again. Also, on the boards (and in real life) most of us don't know what each others' real names are. Please refer to fighting names when posting to avoid confusion.

Akeron wasn't kicked out of Dagorhir. I have emails between me and Graymael in which he talks about how hard he tried to convince Akeron not to leave Dagorhir.

A second Dagorhir chapter was formed in San Juan (population, 4 million) and Akeron saw it as a challenge to his chapter's turf (again, population 4 million...). Despite urgings from myself, Graymael, and others, Akeron chose to leave Dagorhir rather than accept the existence of a second chapter in San Juan.

He's welcome in Dagorhir still (though he may have lost a few friends by the tone of his posts), and DGBA only terminated his chapter contract at his own insistence.

Thats the kind of * we got from alunsun back here in PR, cause we are here...nooot oveeer theeeeeeere, see we have to deal with these punks on a weekend basis, and we got fed up by it.

Anyhow, I didn t decide *, we decide to move on and stay friends with DBGA..lot s of people didn t like it , specially the ones that started and further fueld the drama. We are a whole bunch of people working together now ad we were when we were the 1st Dag chapter here in PR.

We just realized that DBGA,BMCS ,NERO ,Darkon, Amtgard etc etc are out there but we are the ones over here dealing with stuff, like safety, pouchers, other orgs BS etc.So we decided to emancipate from the mother organization ...just what Kegg did BAM! and we are still here, and we feel free to attend to whatever event of any bofferfighting.bofferLARP,jugger etc organizations we feel like going and our resources let us....including Oktober Fest, Wolf PAck Opener ,Pennsic etc!!

On the other hand , thanks for letting me post my rants...it speaks very well of Bele boards and mods, at least you guys didn t threaten me witn banning.Kudos!

BTW Alric,

The San Juan chapter haven t been able to recover from the EMOPR crew sh*ty maneuver...which is a shame , right now we would have been able to pool a Unit of over 35-40 strong.

Unfortunaly the second pseudo chapter cann t keep a stable membership, their leader can t get the senior memebers to do the simpler of jobs, and if they have a representative in RWC it is beacause this guy is the only one with parents paying him everything.

They may verywell end up crossing to Bele or Kaguahtar in the near future anyway.

They effectively choked our numbers and boicotted our first official campout....they end up starting a chapter, cause they planned on us to keep our end of the bargain with DBGA....so they would get a say on planning events without helping us, keeping the same poor garb,poor fighting,and poor attitude.

They call themselves a LARP, and they don t even know what a Live action medieval reenactement battle game is.....the don t even know the difference between LARPing, bofferfighting or a bofferLARP!!!

We let them be, and after six month or more we went to "their Campus"(actually I m an Ex-alumni, I personally started that unit and taught them the ropes, plus introduced them to a whole bunch of key people from the Administration and Security)to put our promo on the public bulletin boards and around the College....they tried to take all the flyers off, but hey we work as a team, so we got All the * college .

The night after they throwed the shreded flyers in front of my home and scared the heck off my wife.That s the kind of people we are dealing with here and thats why DBGA board would prove to be a bad choice at the end.

So, I don't know if anyone realizes this, but when you google "belegarth boards", the second hit is a direct link to this thread, complete with an excerpt from one of the really ****, nigh-incomprehensible posts from the early and ugly parts. It's the sort of thing that would keep me from clicking through, you know? Maybe it is time to kill this thread.

thats funny , why would anyone need to do such a thing when the Director of stae National Parks and DRDPR can browse on myspace or even facebook and look by themselve how you guys excersice a contact sport without submiting an application...the park is public , but still have rules you moron.

Before anyone questions my loyalty/bans me elsewhere (snrk), I am a Dagorhirrim from the Dominion of the Unconquered Sun, and I have never been to a Belegarth realm let alone event.

But when I was a completely new fighter trying to find a realm, any realm near me... I mosied on over to the Dagorhir forums. After seeing how the moderators and board higher-ups treated the people they were about to ban (for no feasible reason I could FIND--the guy in question had posted a video trying to help a newbie make a certain kind of weapon, or something; their issue was that he wasn't from Dag), I walked away under the impression that all Dagorhirrim are *.

The face presented by the Dagorhir moderation team is not pretty. It very nearly convinced me to never go near a Dagorhir realm. (Thankfully, I did anyway, and I found the people there to be quite nice.) But if we're trying to grow Dagorhir, the moderation web presence is NOT helping. I saw mods being jerks for little to no reason. As a new fighter, it made me want to stay AWAY from Dagorhir, not join!

Off the Internet, the ONLY people I have known or witnessed to be real-world * over whatever ancient history caused this animosity are very veteran Dagorhir fighters. The truth is, the average Dag or Bel fighter just doesn't give a **** as far as I can tell. We're all just here to fight. Of the Bel and Dag fighter's I've met, we're not that different, and almost everyone from both organizations has been pretty cool.

I suppose my point is this: I don't care what the mods' reasoning is, but from what I have seen, they do not act in a professional matter. They act like *, and seem to target board members simply for co-belonging to another organization that loves the same pastime we all do--worse, I have NEVER seen anyone "poaching" for realm members, the oft-quoted motivation behind the permaban; those banned are usually just trying to help out other fighters.

Being an * wielding a banhammer does not help Dagorhir grow or attract new members--it makes Dagorhirrim look like *, and drives away the prospective members who come across our dirty laundry. It's even worse when the asshattery happens in real life, though that's rarer.

It'd be nice if it weren't like this, but somehow I doubt much will change any time soon, and it saddens me.

...and apparently this thread isn't as new as I thought it was, so my 2 cents are a bit belated. Eh, not wasting six paragraphs of ranting, may as well post it >.>
