Tenka's Garb

this is a trio of pictures that show the garb that i made myself, which i'll be wearing at octfest (though it's definately going to be one of the last outfits people would notice, have you seen mudge's armor? ) but i did make it myself, and i'm a little proud that i can do such a thing.

note: the red mace in the picture is red, but not a class 2 because it doesn't meet the requirements, but it does work as a good two handed class 1. :3

Your club is going to confuse people. If you get a chance, try to wrap some blue electrical or duck tape around the pommel to more clearly define the weapon's class.

As for the garb, not bad. It looks a lot better than my first effort.

i actually just bought some today, and i'm thinking of putting a mostly black/blue design along the pommel and striking surface... can't think of tribal or sort of a negative fire sorta thing.

What kinda pants are those?

Mine ripped last practice when I charged a glaive and went for a ride on it...

i actually have a hooded cloke+robe, but it's been fraying lately and i'm patching up the edges before trying it out again. that and even though i'm paler than most cave dwelling creatures, i don't burn.

and the pants are worn wool, though i usually wear the equivalence of pajama pants with the foot cuffs and top of it cut out and re-strung to look a little more accurate.

Unless you're trying to show off bulging muscles I would stick with sleeves, even if you don't burn in whatever country you're in, it not only looks better but leaves less bare skin to be struck. I don't know whether it hurts more if a belegarth weapon hurts more when striking bare skin, but in my experience it's a lot easier to ignore an injury if you can't see it.

As for the posting in red. Red and green are the two colours most difficult for the eye to see. But i'm not having any problems and Red seems to be a large part of your persona, so it's your decision.

You know what? This kid annoys me in general. Welcome to the game and all, but get a feel for whats going on my friend. No one cares about your red, non-class 2 mace, especially not worthy of a signature. And really, the red font is dumb. It doesn't make you stand out in a good way. Stop it. And yes Jeggrim is in a **** mood, and is totally being an * right now. Get over it. Everyone has their moments

Thanks man Your garb aint half bad either. I like the sleeveless look. Out of my five or so tabards only 2 have sleeves. Then again, me iz orc. It would look better with a belt/sash of some sort tied around it though.

the garb looks good, if those are blue jeans thou i'd trade them out for something a little more period, but other then that it's better then my first garb for sure.

yep, you can in fact see me in a couple of the pictures and movies taken at octfest. actually, there's at least one person from my realm in each photo except for like... two. for a small realm we made face time. :3

Not trying to be a *, but it looks like he followed Rambo's guide to garb making... i like shape the mace though. I'd have definitely covered it some other way, but i think you had the right idea. Just make a longer one.

it was either loose fitting with almost no sleaves, or a bad imitation of a sweatshirt without a hood. i took the first if you didn't notice. ^^; also, i fixed the cover, so now it's a blacker version of what it is now. *as in, it's black.
