Hey, y'all. I got laid off. Turns out Water Parks are affected by economic downturns. ANywho, I got lots of time of my hands and I'm making armor to sell. I also have two viking Helmets, One with a cool ocular and one with a face lookin faceplate. 'm dyeing them this weekend, so if you have a preference, holla.

Here are some pic's of me and another notorious villain, Magnus in our Uniform Uruk armor. I only helped with his. V did the artwork.

These are exampes of the higher end stuff I do. Its all leather.
I'm making a suit of Samuria type armor for SCA use right now. I'm going to have several of these pretty cheap. They are thicker plastic, but I have tons of it.
I currently have some free time so I have a very fast turn arnoud.
If you would like something, especialy something custom, now is the time.
My number is 801-668-9346. Yes, I think I'm the president.
Or you can contact me here or at kingforkbeard@yahoo.com
Thanks,

(shameless plug) If you have a piece or two ready to sell, you should put something up on foamsmiths.com

It would really help me get the site going and eventually help get a broader base for selling your wares, since it's marketed to multiple venues.

Nice work btw. If I could afford anything right now, I'd love to buy some myself.

Out of curiosity, how much would a helmet like that run?

With the crest, $300
With out, $200.
Crests are a * to make and are kinda expensive.

With or without that crazy awesome art?

I have only ever seen snippets of your armor before, now that I can actually see it well... I am even more in awe! Amazing armer FB! Amazing!

V does all the knotwork and tribal stuff. I pay her seperatly. I figure there is around $50 worth of that kind of thing on the helm. Maybe a little more. She charges by the hour for some stuf and by the square foot for some stuff, depends on the piece.
So it would be around $150 for the helm without the artsy stuff or the crest. Less if it was all one color.
I really can't believe how great my armor looks. It was not planned to be so cool. I just wanted a suit of leather plate that was fitted to me. I hate flappy armor parts. Most of it was an experiment.
Then V got ahold of it. After that it became art.

What sort of plastic do you use and what would be the price on a pair of (low profile) cuisses in said plastic?

Forkbeard, any chance you can make leather pauldrons similar to these steel ones?

http://www.dagorhir.com/forums/index.ph ... #msg228796

Barebones except for the shaping and such. No tooling or dying wanted/needed. If that's something you could do, can you give me a price range?

I just want to say, that axe/spear/club is a thing of beauty. Sheer, utilitarian skull crushing spleen ripping beauty.

Hell yeah, it still stands.
I'm actually developing a line.
Thanks everyone.
I can do the kidney belt and the bracers. I have to look into the material cost for that one though.
Judas, I have tons of 1/4" abs. I'm also working on some 1/8" for some LARPer's soon. Both are good for SCA, but the thiner stuff cost me more. I'm finding out ow much in the next few days.

Awesome, keep me posted on the 1/8th” abs, ¼” seems like it would be overkill.
If the 1/8" ends up being to hard to get I might consider some leather cuisses with abs splints.

Not hard to get at all. I just happen to have a dozen shets of 1/4" I got for free. It needs to go. I'm making a lace together torso for SCA to sell. I'm probly gonna sell them for 50-75 bucks.
Youre right, though, 1/4" is a little much for limb armor. It works great for torso stuff. And huge * greaves. Never wears out.
Tomorrow I'm going to try to get some down payments from some Larper's who want tons of 1/8" ABS ****. I just finished a proper leather suit for one of them, though, so there's hope for 'em.
Everybody who want me to make **** should probly PM me with pics of what they want, just so I don't loose track of them.
I'm trying to devlope an official Que and schedual for when **** ought to be getting done.
I just made 2 leather torso's with floating paldrons in 3 days. Feelin pretty good about this.
I'll try to set up a pay pal accout asap.

I dunno if you got my PM regarding the manica and such, Forkbeard, but if you haven't already done so you can disregard it, as I'm going to try making myself a nice composite suit of lamellar.
