OR

I'd be willing to make a number of them for you, and today, I proved myself by making a very good one. I should be at Wolfpack Opener...if you go, you can just see how well I can make them, and decide if you want some from me personally, or not. I would charge 40 to make 6 javs (which if you want to know how I came to that number, just pm me) I mean, 45 for one from edhellen is good if you're going really professional, but if you want a well-made jav, you can always count on people. Umm, if you're looking for a solid number, such as 10 or 20, I'd make the price still fair.

Just let me know bro.

*, Azrael, that's cheap as hell. $40 for 6 javs?

I just built a fresh jav on .602 Kite with a little bit of 1/2" PVC in the head to extend the core from 44" to 48". It weighs 12.5 oz and has 7/8" of blue, 1.25" of marine foam, and 1.5" of open cell in front of a very stable head base made of a pre-prepared shaped cylinder of 2.2 Ethafoam. It's pretty ballin', if I do say so myself. I can post about if anybody cares. I haven't gotten a chance to use it yet.

Haha, yeahh, well I just was being fair, in my opinion. (material costs + time + quality).

Trust me when I say that the price an Edhellen javs is totally driven by demand, not materials cost or time. At $45, they sell out every event, without fail.

EDIT: point being, you can for sure make them cheaper.

Tonight, sure. All the covers are already on, though, so it'll just be a skinny-ish javelin with a fat, slightly tapered cylinder-shaped head.

Chillin' in the corner with my glaive (needs more striking surface padding!), spear (awesome), and a couple of swords, I guess?

+ Spiral blue haft padding, standard blue double cap and wrap pommel, cloth tubes for the big parts of the covers to save on weight. I could do lighter, if I had another stick of this core, only 3 inches longer than this stick was.

A few of us guys in our unit made some javs that fly pretty * good out of that 3/8" 4' fiberglass you get from tractor supply. Spiral blue all the way up it and build a head at the top using blue and jo ann fabric green open cell. And we've had good luck with ours. I've had mine over a year now still poppin fools at random. It's possible to Make 10 of these in 1 day with 2 people working your * off btw.Image

3.5 months doesn't seem unreasonable to ask if someone is still looking for something, especially during early spring months. A friend of mine had to wait a good 6 months before he could find someone to make something for him. Anyway, I can make study, quality javs for $24 each. Not one to mess with shipping though, so it really depends on your location, which I don't see listed...

The person who made the thread.

That's what I thought....even though I never got my money for my hours upon hours of work....I already made him the javs he wanted.

Next time you comment on a thread pertaining to people buying things, always make sure you ask the person who offered to make the things.
