But seriously, Knightfall has a hammer (unreasonable amount of fun), and a whip, which we use for troll battles (also ridiculous fun). We also have an executioner's axe. I'll have to take some pics at some point. Otherwise, I suppose flails are always a "just for fun" weapon. I mean, what other weapon do we have that is made out of cheese? None, that's who.

I made a halberd for Darth Cheesehart that is a Yu-gi-oh "red-eyes black dragon." It's face is a foot-ball styled spear for stabbing and its wings are built-up blue with open cell shaping. It has a tail that wraps over the pommel and bottom as a hand guard. It was built both as a gift and a dare, and we use it for silly events.

EDIT: I remembered his little feet are also shield hooks.

Ana, I'm not sure if I'm supposed to compliment you on some great foamsmithing or giggle deviously, but my god it must be fun to die by that.

I don't think anyone has. It isn't meant to be a real weapon. I make other things that are better for killing people. I do appreciate it though.

So I made a huge * hammer for fun. Kitespar haft. Blue foam block capped with open cell couch foam. Counter-weighted all to hell with lead fishing weights. The balance point in at the top of the handle under the wielder's forward hand. It floats like it weighs much less than it does. The padding is a little too good though; if the angle of my strikes aren't perpendicular enough, opponents tend to call light. It's a very popular weapon in our realm, and both noob and veteran fighters ask to borrow it often.

It is simultaneously both ridiculous and terrifyingly awesome.

I curved my Flail. Its halrious because it only has a slight curve, so some shots may be a little slower, but the reactions agiasnt shields is halrious.

That definitely looks like a fun weapon to cheese around with. I second the suggestion for instructions.

Originally was a flanged mace, but after a few self tests, it hit like a ton of bricks. I removed two of the flanges and is now just a simple blue/green. Sadly, my wife was at work and the camera was in her purse, so no pics of it in mace form.

Anyways,

Mace form it was almost 2 lbs!
