Best material for Summer garb?

I heard some light muslin would be good, but I would like a range of ideas and such...anyone willing to give me some helpful advice will be greatly appreciated ^^

Right now all we have are heavy wool/long-sleeved garb that gets very hot at times, we almost had one member pass out at our last practice { not just from heat, but yea...was a factor }
